Best of November Reads
Welcome to Best of November Reads! Every month I will make a post about books that I read in the previous month and highly recommend. These are books that I would only give a 4 or 5 star rating on Goodreads. I hope everyone enjoys and please feel free to do this on your own blog and link it in the comments section or simply comment and let me know what great books you read last month.
The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa (Goodreads/Amazon)
I loved reading Ash's P.O.V. but I really missed Meghan.
Rating: 4.5/5
Graceling by Kristin Cashore(Goodreads/Amazon)
Intriguing read. I loved learning more about Katsa and Po's " Graces " but I really didn't like Katsa( I wanted to like her but I couldn't). Looking forward to reading the sequel, Fire.
Rating: 4/5
Birthmarked by Caragh M. O'Brien(Goodreads/Amazon)
I loved, loved, loved this book!!! Not your typical dystopian novel...very original.
Rating: 5/5 Perfect!
Unwind by Neal Shusterman(Goodreads/Amazon)
Wow!!! I wanted to read this book because I was interested in how Mr. Shusterman would take the pro-life vs. pro-choice debate and turn it into a book for the YA crowd. I have to say that he did a fantastic job and I look forward to reading many more of his books.
Rating: 5/5 Great!
Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder(Goodreads/Amazon)
I finished this book in two sittings, it was AWESOME! Yelena was an amazing heroine and I loved the romance with Valek( swoon worthy)
Rating: 5/5

Best of October Reads!
Welcome to Best of October Reads! Every month I will make a post about books that I read in the previous month and highly recommend. These are books that I would only give a 4 or 5 star rating on Goodreads. I hope everyone enjoys and please feel free to do this on your own blog and link it in the comments section or simply comment and let me know what great books you read last month.
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Set in the future in Chicago. Society is now spilt into five factions which are based on the cultivation of a particular virtue. This is the story of Beatrice Prior who has to decide whether she wants to stay with the faction she has belonged to her entire life or if she wants to go through the initiation process with another faction.
***Ah-mazing!!! I absolutely loved this book which received a five star rating from me on Goodreads. I can't wait for Insurgent to be released in May of 2012***
Enclave by Ann Aguirre
Enclave is about a girl name Deuce who lives underground in the old subway tunnels of NYC. In the Enclave you receive a name if you survive the first fifteen years of your life. At that point you have been trained to either be a Breeder, Builder, or Hunter. Deuce is a Huntress whose job is to bring back meat to the Enclave she lives in and to fight any Freaks( Zombies) she comes across while doing that.
*Hmm... I think that is all I can really say about this book without giving away any spoilers*
*** Enclave received a four star rating from me on Goodreads***
Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Lena is ninety-five days short of her eighteenth birthday at the beginning of the story, she is ninety-five days of receiving the cure for Deliria which she desperately wants. However in ninety-five days a lot can happen.
*** I loved this book and all I can really say is that ending is such a cliffhanger and I can't wait until Pandemonium is released in March of 2012. Delirium received a five star rating from me on Goodreads***
Wither by Lauren DeStefano
Human longevity has been reduce to twenty-five for males and only twenty for women. To prevent extinction, young girls are kidnapped, mated in polygamous marriages with men eager to procreate. Sixteen-year-old Rhine Ellery has been kidnapped and not only has to contend with finding a way to get out of this situation but also has to deal with an eccentric father-in-law who is desperate to find a cure before it takes the life of his son
***Five star rating on Goodreads. I can't wait until February when I can finally read Fever***
